Glasshouse
Glasshouse - presented by HKartsFestival@TaiKwun 2022. A trio of local creative talents – composer Daniel Lo, scenographer TRAVIEE and sound artist Lawrence Lau – had originally set out to construct an installation on the Prison Yard in Tai Kwun, unveiling a new way of experiencing music and sound arts. Inspired by Dietrich Bonhoeffer's poem Who Am I?*, the site-specific installation would have comprised a maze-like passageway and featured visitor interactions via original string quartet and electronic music.
To overcome the challenges posed by the pandemic, the team is joined by The Collective, a cross-disciplinary art ensemble. Together, they have made a virtual 3D model of the Glasshouse’s design for audiences to explore.
Glasshouse is one of the programmes of HKartsFestival@TaiKwun 2022, which is part of the 50th Hong Kong Arts Festival.
